Incomplete manuscript, in a single hand, of Burney's journal entries and memoirs from the last six years of his life. He describes his visit to Haydn when the latter first came to England, during which he "was as much pleased with his mild, unassuming yet chearful countenance, as with his musical productions." He records the death of his friend the Dowager Countess of Mount Edgecumbe, "one of the great patronesses of Giardini and Mingotti," and includes copies of several letters discussing musical matters to August Friedrich Christoph Kollman and William Shield. Other entries describe his meetings with the Prince of Wales, King George III, and Queen Charlotte in 1805.
